Capiz State University is steadily adding renewable sources of energy to its campuses and satellite colleges. The Philippines is a tropical country and one of the highly applicable renewable energy sources is the Solar power system. Currently, the combined capacity of the solar power setup of the university is 51.9 kilowatt system that aids the operation of its campus and significantly decreases the electric bill of the campus/satellite college to the local electric cooperative.
