
CAPSU Pontevedra Yields Four Fisheries Professionals, Surpassing National Passing Rate
Capiz State University Pontevedra Campus Fisheries Department proudly announced the success of four of its graduates in the recently concluded Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination last October 9-10, 2025.
With results released today by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), CapSU Pontevedra achieved a 100% passing rate, surpassing the national average of 69.61%.
The new fisheries professionals are Jessica Bantillo Berjamin, Ma. Teresa Celoso Deviente, Ellia Mae Israel Gersaniva, and Anamarie Denosta Oquendo.
This remarkable achievement serves as a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and quality education in the field of fisheries and aquatic sciences.

Science Month and Environment Day celebrations
Campus Student Advocacy Organizations across CAPSU actively led and participated in key institutional initiatives, including the Science Month and Environment Day celebrations, as well as the conduct of leadership training sessions. These activities promoted scientific literacy, ecological awareness, and strengthened student capacity for civic engagement and environmental stewardship.
